POWDERLY, KY - Ralph Joseph Russo Jr., 79, of 89 Old Central Road, Powderly, died at 1:33 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.

He was born Oct. 26, 1930, in Chicago. He was a dock worker for H&W Motor Express and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Connie Thompson; and a daughter-in-law, Josefina Dennis.

Survivors include a daughter, Christine Russo of Powderly; two sons, Thurman Dennis of Louisville and Allen (Tammy) Dennis of Sterling, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rose LaVoy of Oak Lawn, Ill.

Services are at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with Father Ben Luther officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Powderly.
